Research Pitching Competition by Slush and Skolar pairs young researchers with established research organisations to support a common cause: to make research seen and heard!

This competition is a collaborative act, hosted and produced by Skolar & Slush.

Within the past four years Research Pitching Competition has been funded by several Finnish foundations. In 2019, our partners include Foundation for Economic Education, Helsingin Sanomat Foundation, Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation, The Paulo Foundation, Runar Bäckström Foundation, Saastamoinen Foundation, Society for Scientific Infomation, Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation and Walter Ahlström Foundation.

Foundation for
Economic Education

The Foundation for Economic Education, founded in 1919, promotes research in business and economics by awarding grants and scholarships.

Helsingin Sanomat Foundation

The purpose of the Helsingin Sanomat Foundation is to secure the future of Finnish media and quality journalism as well as to support freedom of speech.

The Magnus Ehrnrooth
Foundation

The Magnus Ehrnrooth foundation supports scientific research in mathematics, astronomy, physics, chemistry including medical chemistry.

The Paulo
Foundation

The Paulo Foundation, established in 1966, is a non-profit foundation. The Paulo Foundation is based upon the last will and testament of Reko Paulo's wife, Hulda, and their daughter Marja.

The Runar Bäckström
Foundation

The aim of the Runar Bäckström foundation is to encourage and support inventions that are beneficial to Finnish businesses and thereby strengthen their global competitiveness.

Walter Ahlström
Foundation

Walter Ahlström Foundation was founded in 1926. The Walter Ahlström Foundation supports scientific activity in the field of wood processing, chemistry, energy economy and metal industry sectors.

Saastamoinen
Foundation

Saastamoinen Foundation works for the benefit of Finnish science and art. We are one of the most important collectors of contemporary art and enablers of scientific research.

Society for Scientific Information

Society for Scientific Information is an association with the purpose to inform about scientific research and its results. The association publishes the Finnish Tiede magazine and participates in the publishing of Hyvä Terveys magazine.

Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation

Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation is an independent foundation, founded in 2014 to support and promote social welfare, culture, the environment and science, as well as their teaching and research.
