Apply for Skolar Award

The application period for Skolar Award 2017 begins on August 25th. The finalists will work on their communications and pitching skills in the months preceding the December final.

The winner will be awarded a 100 000 € grant for advancing their research on December 1st right after the pitching final.

The talented young finalists will get together and prep for the finals during the months before Slush. Check out the important dates here:

Who can apply?

The competition is open for postdoctoral researchers who have completed their doctoral thesis no more than five years ago (maternity and paternity leaves excluded). Skolar Award warmly welcomes postdocs from all research fields and all corners of the world. You can apply as an individual researcher or as a research team.

Application criteria

Skolar Award is looking for ideas that are socially relevant, novel, unique and courageous. Convince us, surprise us and don’t be afraid to aim high!

Evaluation

All received applications will go through an initial check-up, where the authenticity of the applicants’ ideas and universities is verified. The applications that pass the first inspection will go through a pre-jury that will choose the finalists. The finalists’ ideas will be evaluated by the main jury at Slush.
