Who can apply?
The competition is open for postdoctoral researchers who have completed their doctoral degree no more than five years ago (maternity and paternity leaves excluded). Research Pitching Competition by Slush and Skolar warmly welcomes postdocs from all research fields and all corners of the world. You can apply as an individual researcher or as a research team. The competition is open to both basic research and applied research but focuses on research ideas and not business ideas.
The application criteria
Research Pitching Competition is looking for ideas that are are aiming for impact and that are new, unique and wild. Convince us, surprise us and don’t be afraid to aim high!
The evaluation process
All received applications will go through an initial check-up, where the authenticity of the applicants’ ideas and universities is verified.
The applications that pass the initial inspection will go through a pre-jury that consists of academic professionals from different fields. The applications will be reviewed by jury members from their field.
The chosen applications will proceed from the pre-jury to the final jury. The final pitches will be evaluated by the jury at Slush 2019.
The talented young finalists will get together and prep for the finals during the months before Slush.
